The National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus is the largest repository of the country's material and spiritual culture, with over 400,000 exhibits. The collections feature unique archaeological finds, Slutsk belts, ancient documents, weapons and treasures.
The main activities of the museum are: acquisition of museum funds, accounting, preservation and restoration of museum objects, scientific and auxiliary materials; creation and opening of temporary exhibitions, modernization of permanent exhibitions of branches; study, use and popularization of museum objects, scientific and auxiliary materials, conducting scientific research on their basis, publishing activities; excursion service to visitors museum, cultural and educational work and cultural and educational activities; organization of international cultural projects
