Upper Town Archaeological Museum

The exhibition "Minsk. Upper town. The Archaeological Museum is located in a building designed over an archaeological excavation in 2007-2008 with arched foundations of an outbuilding built by Bernardine monks of the early 18th century.
The museum introduces the history of the Upper Town and the surrounding neighborhoods. In the XII – XIII centuries, there was a trade and craft settlement on the territory of the Upper Town. In the XVI – XVIII centuries, after obtaining Magdeburg rights, the Upper Town became the new administrative center of the city and the seat of the city nobility. Visitors are invited to travel into the world of objects of the XII – XIX centuries, including bone scallops and hoops, iron arrowheads and spears, keys and locks, jewelry of the X – XIX centuries, leather shoes of Menyan and Menchuk and many other items from the daily life of Minsk citizens.
