October Cinema

In 1975, according to the project of architect V.Malyshev, the construction of the luxurious October cinema building was completed on the site of the former wooden Zorka cinema, which still involuntarily attracts the eyes of residents and guests of the capital. The cinema's opening in 1975 was accompanied by the premiere of the then-acclaimed film The Blockade.
October was and remains the largest cinema hall in the republic, accommodating more than a thousand people. The cinema has the largest seamless screen of 22x10 m. Everyone knows about the unique acoustics of the auditorium, as it was conceived during construction as a cinema and concert hall. A spacious ticket office lobby, a winter garden with exotic birds, soft and comfortable sofas for relaxing. In the lobby of the cinema there is a spacious cafe for the audience, as well as a bar. Traditionally, the October Cinema hosts world premieres, film festivals, and presentations of new films. Exhibitions are regularly displayed in the lobby of the second floor
