Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery

The Art Gallery of Mikhail Andreevich Savitsky, Hero of Belarus, People's Artist of Belarus and the USSR, Honorary citizen of Minsk, opened on September 7, 2012, and is part of the Museum of the History of Minsk.
The exhibition is dedicated to the work of the Hero of Belarus, People's Artist of Belarus, honorary citizen of Minsk Mikhail Andreevich Savitsky (1922 - 2010).
There are more than 1,000 exhibits in ten halls: paintings, photographs, documents, awards, personal belongings of the artist. The exhibition reflects the main stages of M. Savitsky's creative work from the late 1950s to 2010. The famous cycles of the artist's works are presented: "The Black Past", "The Beatitudes". A separate exhibition area is occupied by reconstructions of the interiors of the artist's studio and his study.
The gallery building is an architectural monument of the late 18th century, known as the city manor. Four halls are devoted to the reconstruction of the historical interiors of the manor house's living rooms - a large and small living room, an office, and a library. In addition, fragments of the picturesque decor have been recreated in separate rooms, and a tiled stove has been reconstructed.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, there are large and small exhibition halls for temporary thematic exhibitions.
