The Church in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary is located in the historical area of the village of Kruptsy, which is now part of Minsk. The temple is a place of pilgrimage and a spiritual center associated with the miraculous Krupetsky icon of the Mother of God and the sacred spring, which is attributed healing properties. The church was built in the traditions of Orthodox temple architecture and is open to parishioners and tourists all year round.
The history of the holy place begins in 1612, when the first chapel appeared here, presumably founded by monks from Vilna. Already in the 19th century, the chapel was replaced by a wooden church, and in 1857, the construction of a new church on a stone foundation was completed. Funds for the construction were collected by the whole world: from parishioners and the governor of Minsk to local theaters. A watchman's house with rooms for pilgrims was built at the temple, and the church itself became a storage place for the miraculous Krupetsky icon.
