The Park of Culture and Recreation named after the 50th anniversary of the Great October is a piece of the pre-revolutionary forest.

The park is the real "lungs" of the Zavodsky district, mainly coniferous trees grow in it. Currently, there are 9 children's attractions in the park, and there is a cafe on its territory.

Department Store Belarus

The commercial municipal unitary Enterprise "Department Store Belarus" is one of the largest commercial enterprises of the Republic of Belarus.

Today, Department Store Belarus is an enterprise that meets modern trade requirements and offers an optimal range of high–quality goods. Spacious, bright, cozy and calm, it is always a pleasure to be in it. I want to come back here again and again to walk through my favorite sections without haste, drink fragrant coffee in the bar on the 4th floor, have a snack in a cafe or buffet on the 5th floor, and purchase everything necessary for each family member.

KPUP

Minsk bakery No. 3 was put into operation in March 1953.

Today, the factory produces about 50 types of cakes. I also liked the appearance of the cakes decorated with mastic with printed drawings using food printers: a short-cream cake "Festive" and a cake "950 years". And the "Airy cream" cakes have completely conquered every lover of sweets.

Monument

Monument "The Woman on the bison"

Monument "The Woman on the bison"
Monument

The "Woman on the bison" was supposed to become the basis of the monument "Belarus Partizanskaya", that tall column with bas-reliefs and a sculptural group of the partisan family (we will get to know it later during the tour). The initial sketch of the monument, created by architect Valentin Zankovich, was approved. However, when he created a sculpture with a powerful bison and a woman with a banner in her hands, it was not approved by the art council. Veterans opposed the installation of the monument on the 60th anniversary of the end of the war, as they considered that the sculpture with an almost naked woman, even with a banner, did not correspond to the spirit of the times. Thus, the Belarusian version of the "Abduction of Europe" was rejected. But the original and powerful monument still found a place in Minsk. It was decided to install it near the MAZ Palace of Culture. Since the bison has been a symbol of the company for decades, this idea turned out to be quite logical.

The temple is located on the shore of the Chizhovsky reservoir, in the south-east of the Belarusian capital. Quite impressive in size, in fact it is only a small church at the parish of the Great Martyr George the Victorious, whose main cathedral is still under construction.

Construction of the church began in 1994, and a year later, during his visit to Minsk, Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia placed a capsule in the wall of the shrine under construction. In 2000, the church was consecrated in honor of the Minsk Icon of the Mother of God, the list of which is located in the church to the left of the iconostasis. In 2014, construction began on the main church of the parish, in honor of St. George the Victorious. Over time, the church complex will be complemented by a parish house, which will house a library, Sunday school and social services.

Church of the Holy Spirit

The Church of the Holy Spirit in Minsk successfully combines modern architecture with elements of Neo-Gothic, including a tower above the main entrance topped with a high hipped roof. Overall, the exterior of the church is laconic and austere. The most expressive decorative elements are the various windows located along the facades. The Church of the Holy Spirit is located near the Chizhovsky reservoir, next to the private sector (the former village of Korzyuki).
