The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was founded on the basis of the scientific research and cultural and public institution of the republic - the Institute of Belarusian Culture (Inbelkult) (1922-1928), which was reorganized into the Academy of Sciences by the decree of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the BSSR dated October 13, 1928. The grand opening of the Academy of Sciences took place in Minsk on January 1, 1929., on the tenth anniversary of the formation of the Byelorussian SSR. The first president of the Academy of Sciences was the historian Professor Vsevolod Makarovich Ignatovsky.

Chelyuskintsev Park was established in 1928-1931 on the southeastern outskirts of the city.

The All–Holy Church, full name - Minsk Memorial Church in the name of All Saints and in memory of the victims who served to save our Fatherland, is an Orthodox church belonging to the Belarusian Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. The architect is Lev Pogorelov. At the same time, the temple will be able to accommodate 1,200 worshippers. The foundation stone of the memorial church was laid in 1991 by Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia. In 1996, with the participation of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Metropolitan Filaret (Vakhromeev) of Minsk and Slutsk, a capsule with a commemorative letter with an appeal to the descendants was laid here.
